Is there any way to heat up the area that's stopped up- like a hairdryer or something? That would probably help.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll have to see if I can find one of those. Sounds like something very useful in candle making. Thanks, Nocturnica

Is it expensive to make your own candles and do you or have you ever added a scent to it, so that when it burns it makes the room smell nice.I hate to ask, but I am thinking up a new hobby that I can do and also one that I can make things as a gift to a really good friend.

Well its not expensive if you recycle wax which your supposed to be able to do but that's how I screwed mine up. I can't remember how much the wax cost but if you are going to make smaller candles I wouldn't think it would be unreasonable. I tried to add scent to mine with some leftover oils I had but either it didn't work or I didn't put enough in. They sell the scent stuff for candles & I remember that being expensive. I've only used the candle maker machine so I don't know it doing it more old school would be cheaper or not. I did give them as gifts one Xmas. I went to a thrift store & got little glass tea cups for like a quarter each & they came out pretty good.
