What are friends for

Friends are very important. In my case, when I was down emotionally, my very good friend supported me all the way. If not for my good pal, I do not know what happens to me, I may do something silly. When a person is down, they cannot think properly so that is why I say Friends are so important (besides family members), I mean real friends not casual pals.

For me, if that were truly true, then why is it that every friend that I had has screwed me over in some way, shape, or form? Because of that it is hard for me to trust anyone and I don't have any friends.

I believe that true friends will offer their help and advice and respect you still if you choose not to take their advice. I think that true friendship is something that you should cherish and try to keep.
