well, i had never been much of a dog person till my son was incarcerated and i kept his dogs and got attached and never gave them back. my lttle chihuahua mix, got sick thursday and seemed to not be able to jump around like usual. she was still eating, so i figured it was her allergies and she'd feel better soon. but yesterday, sunday! no less we had to rush her to emergency vet. of course it was one she'd never seen. i explained all to him and they gave her a pain med to calm her fears. she had had a regular bowel movement outside, but after the med they took her back there and came out and said she had bloody movement. i couldnt figure how that could be. anyway, they did tests, and the only thing they could figure was a stomache infection. gave me antibiotics for her and this diarea med. which they say keep her on even tho she hasnt had diarea since there. she seems a little better today, but isnt drinking or eating except for the peice of cheese i put the antibiotic in. they put a water pac under her skin and said she should be ok with the water till tonight and if she dont drink then, call them. im still suspicious about the diarea thing. why would she do that back there and i havent seen it. could they have dropped her or something or was it the meds. i dont know. whats your opinion?

I had a very sick cat .. give her the meds as the vet ordered.. as far as eating .. give her ANYTHING she wants to make her eat . ( choc is a no no for pets) as far as her water goes try to give her droppers filled of water .. if she really is not eating then she won't be thirsty... if she is the same way in a day or two call the vet back and let them know what is going on .. alot of attation goes a long way too with the pets.
