What can I do to help my car get better gas mileage?

I've changed my air and fuel filter. I have new tires inflated to the proper pressure, but it just seems like my car should get better gas milegae than it is. Its a Mitsubishi Mirage, 4 cyl. so it shouldn't be burning that much gas. What else can I do to get more per gallon?

You may need to change your Oxygen sensors. Id take it to a mechanic to get some professinal advice

Maybe you should take it to a mechanic and get a check up on it to see if there's anything else that you're missing that could be wrong like a sensor or setting. I know I had a car once that was sucking gas and it turned out that it was a bit off in determining the air/fuel ratio. Once we got that fixed, it not only gets better gas mileage, but it also runs better than it even has.
