Yogurt good for allergy and cold symptoms

Has anyone ever heard that yogurt is good for fighting allergy and cold symptoms?... my 4 yr old just loves yogurt and eats about 5 go-gurt tubes a day... he has severe allergies andother respiratory probs, but i had recently read that yogurt is supposed to help fight those symptoms if you eat 6 or more ounces a day... i hope this is true for my son's case! I was just wondering if anyone else had ever heard that before?
