Prefer: Hook Bowl or Spinner Bowl?

I am a beginner, which type of bowling technique should I go to?

As a beginner I would recommend just throwing straight until you get used to it. Gradually bring hook into your game and your average should slowly increase. I would recommend taking your time learning to bowl hook, and there is a video on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwKc3TkxDMw) which I found pretty helpful when I was starting.
