Good friends never forget you

I have been here in Egypt for more than 2 years away from my mother country (Iraq), I have been left there a lot of friends of mine.
Today I have a call from a friend that I don't know any news about him for all that time pass, I was so happy to hear his voice and he is ok, he told me that he was asking for my phone number for long time and today he got it and call me at once.
This call have change my sad mood that I was have and make feel that I have a good friends who ask about me and want to know what I am doing all these 2 years past.
Good friends always make us happy when we just need them even if to just say HELLO.
Do you ever have this thing and have a call from an old friend of you and have change your mood with positive thing?

That has happened to me many times. There are also times when I will telephone a distant friend just to cheer them up.

You remind me very much of a former son-in-law, Emad, by the topics you start and the way you think. He was Palestinian. His family moved to Egypt and he kept moving until he came to America. We were very close friends and talked all of the time. I was so angry when my daughter divorced him, I didn't speak to her for a couple of years. I lost track of him 4 years ago. The last I heard from him, he was in California somewhere.

Yeah, I know what this feels like. I had a friend leave me once because they had to go finish high school in another state. It's a long story, but in the end we haven't seen each other in four years now. It's dumb because we'll probably never see each other again. It sucks knowing this, but I have to move on.

I hope you will catch her soon, it is sad when you know you will not see here again, try to reach her and at least talk to her on phone.

Hi alkurishy,
your story reminds me of my best friend in High School whom I have not met after our graduation..
After 13 years of not seeing with each other, she finally found a way to contact me..She met a girl who is from my place and ask her to ask my number...This girl asked my parents since I just visit our place twice a month due to work.
Finally, we are txting again..We don't even see until now and we are both married...Every time I'll talk to her, what I will imagine is our time spent together with out school uniform..I have no idea now how she looked like and same as her..LOL!
We always plan to meet online but due to time difference we also can't do it..Anyway, We are still talking and wish someday , somehow we will be able to meet!

Hi alkurishy,
Many years ago I lost touch my chilhood firend and she moved I didnot know where a few years after that I moved and one day in town we bump into each other and we were so happy to meet again. Now are very close again I am so glad for you, whenever there are dark clouds, remember there follows a silver lining, remember alkurishy, a silver lining. Be happy.

Even though I haven't talked to her in years, I still think about my best friend from junior high and high school all the time. We drifted and went our separate ways and haven't spoken in a very long time. I'll never forget her or the friendship or what she did to make an impact on my life. The memories will never fade even if the friendship has!

I was just talking about that to the people here in the coffee shop this morning. I travel requently, sometimes for up to six months at a time, but when I come back here they all remember me, and wondered where I've been, all that time. I'm so glad that you heard from your old friend. I'm sure it was nice to hear from home, too.
