Changing Dell Tower

Can someone post me, patiently, how to step by step change from one tower to another? How to I know what is garbage that I should not put on the new tower ?

I don't mean to discourage you, but it does not sound like this is a job that you should be tackling. It sounds like you might be in way over your head.

well, it's me or nobody. LOL i'm not discouraged. if someone tells me insert the CD and here is the code to copy the tower....i think i will be able to do it. i'm hoping someone will assist !

The one time I had to go through with this, it was from a Windows 2000, Dell Dimension L800 (Pentium III) to a - I forgot what, with Windows Vista. I tried one of those 160 Gig passport drives, but my Penium III would not recognize it. For the next few days, i was stuck transferring data 1.8 gigs at a time using a flash drive, because that was the only thing that worked. Overall, it's tough to give a good answer unless I had a lot more details.
