fights,marriage, wife,husband,punches

my friend called me up late last night and told me she's in great pain, she said she had a fight with her husband a he punched her in the tummy, twisted both of her arms as if he will break it and worst (maybe he didn't notice while punching her)she was punched in the breast and she said the pain was terrible. i couldn't do any anything because her house is a little far from my place, so i just told her stay calm and put some ice on it. this happens a few times but its getting worse in every quarrel and fight they had. they are both my friend and could not just sit and be quiet about it. what should i tell them to calm things like this.
