Nettie Mae is actually a nickname used by my Aunt who has the same name I have. I hated this nickname growing up and was constantly beating up my little brothers -- and anyone else dumb enough to call me Nettie Mae! But then when we got our computer and went 'online' I didn't want to use my Real name so....the nickname seems to fit very nicely now.

Lovely story. I am still called my childhood nickname every now and then. It used to irritate me so much back then, but now I appreciate it.

when i was first registering for an yahoo account, it came up as a suggestion. I have been this since then everywhere!!!!!
