Definately not. Sorry to say this, but to someone who doesn't love herself enough to want to live on, how is she/he going to love and treasure another person? If this can happen once, it can happen again, and in the future, your other half will start to use this method each time to achieve their means. In other words, its emotional blackmailing. Been there, done that, got over it.

Oh dear, maybe she was going through a very bad time, thats is why she tried to kill herself, but you cant judge somebody by that, as long as you know that she is a happy woman right now, then its all okay :)
