Do You Think that Obese People Should be Charged Extra on planes?

I think that they all people who ride on planes should be comfortable, that includes obese people. I say that airlines put some extra-large seats on every plane so that obese people can choose these seats with EXTRA cost. In fact, it isn't only obese people who may choose these seats but even regular people who may want to have MORE splace on the plane ---Whddya think?

I agree but who's gonna argue this with someone that has a 100 or more pound advantage on them?

I'm fat, I wouldn't mind paying a surcharge to have a seat that is a little bigger. I don't think tho that I should have to buy 2 seats as I can fit in one. I would just like to be a bit more comfortable.

I'm fat too but I fit in a plane seat. I think that it's not only fat people who'd benefit from an idea like a larger seat but also other people who want to stretch out more confortably.. it would also be a good idea for pregnant women and those who feel too constrained in the regular seat!

I read something somewhere about a man needing two seats and he refused to pay for both seats, I think that they were right to charge him. If a small person maybe wanted to curl up and sleep taking up the two seats then they would be charged the other seat. If there are 30 seats on a plane at £10 each then that is £300, but if there are 15 obese people needing 2 seats each then this is only £150. This means that the company will be down in money and the service and food will suffer a result.

Southwest is already charging overly obese passengers for two seats. Personally, I think it's good. And your idea is a great one, too. I have been placed next to obese people on the plane and it was no pleasure. They always take over part of my space, too. I can never sit comfortably. Once I was squeezed in the middle seat between two of them for four hours. I couldn't move! Nothing against obese people. But plane seats are small and uncomfortable enough. I really don't need the extra discomfort of being pushed to the side because the person next to me barely fits into the seat or doesn't fit at all into the seat.
