Yes that is true and I can know you too without talking to you, what I mean by know here that you can know my personality from the discussions that I start and the posts that do for other discussions, and I can do so to know your personality too.
I have notice that here when I go to any member's profile and start to read what he have started in discussions and what he have wrote in his responses to other discussions, because we all express our feelings and thoughts here.
Did you try to do that? am I right about that?
please tell me about that, and good day for all.

Yes you could be right and you have got me thinking,but some people don't alway tell the truth so it is hard to know their personalty,but you are a very good man I know who cares so much for your wife anc children and you have so much emotions that you share with us and we feel for you.

A book can never be judged by its cover. So, we must read its content to really know what the book is about. In the same way, to know a person, we can't really know Him through his likes and dislikes..we need to know how he expresses himself and what he expresses. We need to understand his behaviors and attitudes, his character, his perception about things and finally himself.

No friend. I don't agree with you about saying that we can know what the book is about by reading its name. It's not such. A book can have a name but explain another thing. Therefore we say that content matters. In the same way, people are also very difficult to understand from just by reading their like or dislikes. So, many people also post just what come in their minds. But to be the real "we", we must take our time to post and ask whether we are reflecting our real nature while posting. Let's be ourself friends. Let's post real.

Well, you have a good viewpoint here, but we are dealing here in Mylot with opinions that wrote down by the members here not with them personally.
And about your example (the book) you can also know what the book talking about from it's name unless the write of the book are laying in this book.

Hi yes I agree with you that we can learn a lot about a perons personality, like and dislaikes just from the discussions they start and the response they give to others. I have made many friends here who just show so much warmth and understanding in their discussions that I have been drawn to them to request their friendship because of this. Yes I do think I know some people quite well from their posts at myLot, and I really like getting to know people from all over the world.
I look at people's profiles too and see which discussions they like to respond to, that can tell me something about their interests and personality.
Some people write more about their personal life in discussions and others may not want to tell too much about their life, but I don't think it matters, the personality will still show from the way they respond to other people.
I feel we are all friends here.

Yes, that is so true. That's because myLot is a venue for us to express ourselves with what is going in a particular area of our lives. Sometimes people use this to rant or just to air out their concerns about important issues. We don't really have to be talking to each other on a daily basis to get to know each other. It's like getting personal in an impersonal way.

Hi alkurishy, after reading and replying to the discussions of a same person frequently definitely I could know the personality of the creator. Even though I seldom go through user’ profile, I still could learn his feelings, emotion and thoughts from his words expressed in his posts. The more reciprocation we made with the same person, the more understanding between each other it would be, instead of talking to each other.

I agree with you my friend you can tell a lot about a person from the discussions they start and the responses they give,for example if a person does one line discussions,and one line responses you can tell that they are probably new to mylot or they are just in it for the money,I always try to get an idea of a persons personality by what they type,just like from looking at your discussions and your responses I can tell you have a great personality.

Yup, you can more or less guess at a person's character, by the topics posted, and the comments made.
It's in the words the person used, the terms, the responses - it doesn't matter if the person is good in English or not, a person's sincerity and sympathies shows.
The profile is sometimes very misleading - we tend to either dress up or down!

I agree with you.We can know others throught a lot of ways,talking is one of them.I prefer to read people's profile, their articles and photos taken in life.It's their real activity,showing what they like or dislike.

Yes your can learn about a person by looking at their profile, but
the best way to learn about a person is to see what they say
when they comment in a discussion. If you follow a certain
person who is your "friend" you can learn alot about them
by following their posts. You can't base knowing a person on
their profile alone.

well it is true other people could be talking of you. or you just might know her likes and things like that. you dont always need to know a person just by talking to them you just might share the same personality
