Saying "NO"

How do you say "no" to a person without offending him/her? Why is it so hard for us to say no to a dear friend or someone special to us when we are ask a favor? Even if we're not capable of doing the favor we would still yes just to please the person asking the favor. But, what if we really can't? How would you handle such situation? How would you say no?

I think words and expressions play an important role in how you can say no. We can try to reduce the feeling of offense to one of that of little disappointment. Sometimes even explaining your position and why you cannot help is good.

I would be honest. If this person is really a friend he or she will understand it. Just explain the why not!
