I have been to Singapore three times now and think that it is a lovely destination to go to. I did some fantastic shopping there and had a look at the famous Raffles Hotel. I stayed at a friendly backpacker hostel. The local people there are so kind and helpful. I think it most be the cleanest city in the world. There are so many different rules and fines for doing the wrong thing. I went to a national park on the outskirts of Singapore and saw many monkeys. However the fine for feeding a monkey was very high indeed. Singapore has the most wonderful airport that I have ever been to and it even has an orchid garden. I suggest Singapore is an excellent destination for a traveler that hasn't been to Asia before because the food options are varied and it is so clean.

I think it was 30 years when my family and I lived in Singapore for a year and a half. That was a wonderful experience for all of us. But my father had to be reassigned elsewhere and he opted to just return to the Philippines, where we are from. I never forgot that time, because the place had impressed me even as a young girl. Fortunately, 20 years later, I was able to travel back to Singapore on a brief visit. I was so excited and awed because everything had changed from the time we left. The buildings were different, although the roads were still familiar. I took time to visit our old apartment and it was such a kick to reminisce, even if it cost me a lot of dollars to have the cab take me around. I still hope to visit soon, this time with my nephews and niece, who are all thrilled when we relate how we used to live there... And especially because I know they will enjoy the Zoo, the Night Safari, Sentosa with its Underwater World and the fireworks show. Oohh... just remembering everything already gets me excited. And I do love their train system -- so efficient. Yep, I really wanna go back soon.

I have been to Singapore twice. It's a nice country and quite advanced. It's also very clean and the transportation system is very efficient. During my stay, I went to Sentosa Island and Chinatown. I got to see the Merlion. The scenery is breathtaking. Besides that, I went to shopping at Orchard Road. There is a lot of shopping complex there. The famous one is Takashimaya. I really had an enjoyable time there.

well i've been living in singapore for the past thirty over years. i was born here you see. i really love singapore to bits. i've friends who talked about migrating to another country but i really cannot understand why. the variety of food available here is enough to tie me down. there is a new development currently undergoing construction across from new park hotel. i'm sure you'll be surprised at the changes if you visit again. do remember to go to the zoo. it's really a lovely place and i always enjoyed myself there. there is also a new place to check out. it's a sky bridge that links several parks. cheers ;p

Nice to see a fellow Singaporean here, Apple freak =) Zeny_zion, I too, am a Singaporean. Born and bred in sunny Singapore! It's great that you love Singapore so much. Where are you from? Do remember to visit the Singapore Flyer (the huge ferris wheel) that had just been opened to the public sometime this year. I trust that it would be an experience that would be difficult to forget as you get a birdeye view of SIngapore at the highest point of the Flyer! =)
