How do you express you ANGER?

It's a normal thing that we get angry but how do we deal with it? When I was a kid, my dad use to tell me that I used to throw things when I am angry and sometimes run at the ocean and swim endlessly until I get tired. As I grow old I learned to control my temper, maybe it has something to do with my membership in a church community, I learn the gift of patience. When we have disagreements at home, I usually do the housechores in complete silence that my hub will just hug me and tell me that my silence is deafening lol! But at work is another story, I used to be a labor union leader and I represent the employees at work whenever they have grievances. My boss really get angry with me each time we have legal battles and I express my anger back by forming collective action like rallies and pickets. These type of battle is not really a personal anger but I have to take a stand and make the first move to express that we are resenting things that are not in favor of us. How about you, how do u deal with your anger?

Yeah julie, I understand that your position as a responsible labor union leader. You have to sacrifice lots for the benefits of the workers. Of course control emotion is of major important. In many cases mere anger couldn’t solve much problem effectively. I still remember during my schooldays I used to slam the doors heavily or do whatever house chores with a bit rough manner and very often did make louder noise. This was the way to show my anger and release my pent-up emotion. When I grow old I manage to control my anger by disciplining myself not to indulge in doing such silly and ridiculous things anymore. I normally would keep quiet and find way to solve the problem. posting and take care.

Hi Ikbooi, Thanks for this nice response. Yea, as we grow old, maturity sets in and we are dealing with this control management. We knew that anger has some negative results if not dealt properly, oftentimes it breaks relationships, hurt friends, provoke enemies and make your kids cry in the corner. I'd rather deal with my anger in silence to avoid these things :)

When I get angry I dont go away, I will talk to the person and tell him/her what I feel and we have to settle whatever the cause of that anger. But when it comes to my wife, I always let my anger turn down before I talk to her so we wont have a heated discussion. My I see my worst when I'm angry, I can really hurt other people esp if they attack me then I will retaliate right at that moment.
