What I see in PTC

Just out of curiosity I joined a PTC site. I got paid a percentage of a cent for the sign-up, about 10 ads to click and I walk out with .0225 cents for almost an hour of total time. (Sign-in, email verification and time spent clicking ads) I did a wonderful job, I didn't try to cheat, yet I still feel as though I'm being underpaid. How many PTC sites does it take, (or how many does it take to make you happy)? And what is a typical earnings per day/month for this type of web income. I just get the impression that the wage doesn't justify the time spent - so, am I doing it wrong or what?
