I am Irish\German\French Canadian (Quebecer). My husband is 1\3 Iroquois\Metis and French Canadian. My children, 1\5 Iroquois\Metis, French Canadian and Irish\German. Culture and ancestry are extremely important to me and my children know about all of the cultures in their blood lines. We celebrate the solstice of each season, the equinox and various ancestral celebrations like Imbolc and Samhuian. We also celebrate the Native culture as well. They are learning both English and French from their French Canadian heritage as well. My German heritage I know very little about but I am in the process of researching it to give a better understanding to my children of where they come from.
