yes being portable is the reason people buy them. mostly for business maybe a long time ago due to the price of them but with the price's coming down for a laptop, it is more for everyone as it can do the same thing as a desktop and is portable.

Laptops are in today whether it may be students or professionals. One thing is that it's your office on the go. Thanks to it's portability and the ability for wireless internet. I for one would want to own a laptop of my own because I could do many more things when I have my laptop.

The portability factor is definitely the biggest and most important point due to which the laptops are very popular nowadays. The sales of like tops are increasing every year at a drastic trade and the prices are dropping considerably. There was a time when laptop was considered to be a luxury item but today it is required as much as a desktop computer at home. Being portable it is definitely very useful in business but also I think it is very useful for others like students who nowadays have to do a lot of interactive presentations and things like that. They can work out their own presentation on their own laptop and then they can take it to the perspective and colleges and presented without any real problems. Strands were living in Foster also have a big advantage of laptops because they don't have too occupied too much space in the room with a big desktop and its furniture. And also the wireless Internet connection is also a big advantage for them. So all in all it is going to be more popular as time goes on and I think it is on the verge of introducing a new development to laptops.
