Weirdest flavour of ice-cream you ever ate?

I know there are flavours out there that are ridiculously flavoured in my opinion, peanut butter ice-cream by Ben en Jerries was one of them even though I never got around to tasting it, and I wonder what kind of strange ice-creams you have all discovered around the globe as I just love ice-cream! The oddest one I ever had must have been a mix I made as a child with sprinkles, chocolate sauce, different flavours ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate chips, and much more goo and I stirred everything up and ate it. Believe me, this was good parenting because they let me experience it and believe me one will never try this again! LOL! . I've heard about eel-flavoured ice-cream so that must be the grossest so far as I can imagine, that's one I would NEVER taste. So come on, how about you guys?

Eel? Ew gross. I have heard of fish ice cream and bacon ice cream...both sound horrible. The strangest I've ever tried was Superman ice cream when I was a kid. It was red and blue and had lots of little gum balls in it. It was hard to eat because the gum would get hard from the cold and you're trying to chew the gum and not swallow it while eating the ice cream.

That sounds like an ice-cream that has to come with a manual, lol , very hard to eat indeed. Bacon ice-cream sounds like it should never be manufactored again... I don't think meat and ice-cream is a good combo and neither is fish unless it's ice chips that keep the fish cold .

I haven't personally had any weird flavors of ice cream except for maybe bubblegum(did not like it) but my husband has. He was at the garlic festival a few years ago in California and said he had Garlic ice cream. He said it actually was not bad and just tasted like regular ice cream. BUT I think with all the garlic tasting going on at that festival that the ice cream probably was not as strong as the rest of the foods. Anyway it does not sound appealing to me and I love garlic just don't want it in ice cream.

That's a pretty weird one as well! Considering there would be so much garlic tasting going on I'd agree that it would be hard to notice a difference anymore and that something a little less strong as the rest can only taste nicer. Not sure I want to taste that one sometime but it's a lovely addition to the discussion, thanks!

Hi Cyberfluff, I tend to stick with Devonshire clotted cream ice cream if I am ever going to have any but recently my son asked for this one that had Oreo cookies in it so I bought it for him, he didn't like and gave to me and it was horrible. I like Oreo cookies and I like icecream but the mix of the two was foul. Ellie :D

Interesting as I like oreo cookies as well and I've never had them at the same time! Great ideas are sprouting from this discussion and there will be lots of ice-creamy pleasure in the near future when I try to find all these odd ice-creams you mention. Thanks and have a great day!

Hi When I was growing up, there was a Baskin Robbins within walking distance from where I lived. Of course they had all kinds of flavors of ice cream. The weirdst flavor I had was bubble gum ice cream. It was so weird. You'd try to eat it like ice cream, but there was these chunks in there that you would chew and it would be bubble gum. I think I only had it once to try it out. That was enough! Have a nice day, Char

That sounds really odd! It's allmost as odd as the eel ice-cream I mentioned but in a delicious way. I can see why you would only try it once, but still it's nice to have tried it for once. Sounds like an ice-cream that's a lot of fun to eat .
