Do you believe that a woman above 50 must not wear fashionable dresses? Or she should not wear revealing outfits/dresses ? True or False ?Give reasons for both answers.

I'll start this saying that I think anyone should be able to wear anything they want. If she likes how she looks in it and feels comfortable wearing it then why not? Since when did we start being the fashion police and who's to say who can wear this and who cant wear that. There are some really good looking older ladies out there and if they feel good wearing fashionable clothing, then by all means, let them!! Cheers, Tianna

Its not policing or moral prohibitions that I suggested in my question. It was more of a personal view of female to fashion vis a vis males or females. True no one must be afraid to wear fashionable clothes, irrespective of his/her age.

False, I always say weither male or female wear what you like and what you feel comfortable in. With in reasons of course. Not showing too much skin, wearing things that fit and so on.

Fashion is more about showing skin and fitness...The younger the female the more skin she shows to look fashionable... right ? Then again the more she ages the more skin she would like to show.. right ? or less skin to show to feel less embarassed .. right ? wot ?

HI shaktiestate, Mfriend, i would say it false. every man and women has equal rights and when they have equal rights in everything yhen why not fashion. i see all round the world wearing fashionable dresses or in other words dressing up very fashionably with all the perfumes and deos so why cant a women. and what i feel very strongly is that a man or a woman is old only they themself will feel that have grown old. its from heart, from mind. you can be 20 or twenty five year old but on the other hand you can be seventy five year young too. it all depends how you take it. you should have the guts to carry yourself that beautifully in every age when you have dressed according to the fashion. wearing whats in fashin and then carrying it beautifully also matters a lot.

I am not questioning rights of an individual to wear fashionable clothes. It is the individual's personal choice that comes foremost. Woman looks pretty at any age and her fashion could add more beauty and elegance, that's all. No personal grude against any female.

It's kind of tricky, but I would say False for the most part. Some older women can look really good in fashionable clothing, though it depends a lot on the fashion. Seeing a 60-year-old woman dressed up in a goth/punk getup or raver gear would make me laugh on the outside and cry on the inside, hah! But there are a LOT of 'fashionable' clothes that look really great on older women. Personally, I think older women should look tasteful, distinguished and classy (which can be VERY fashionable!). Grunge, frump and teenybop really don't look good at all (regardless of age!), nor do teen fads.

We all hopefully imagine that a female must wear fashionable clothes, irrespective of her age. But question that I posed was rather a universal one where males , at times, and not all males, tend to be put off by elderly females wearing fashionable clothes.A male attitude.Bad. But prevalent universally.Am not generalising or meaning any offence to any male or female.Just the outlook that creeps in every growing adult.

FALSE FALSE FALSE why shouldnt any wman no matter what her age wear nice fashionable clothes.. how can give a reason to that.. The other thing that could look sily is wearing clothes to make yourself look ridicuous, meaning as in trying to wear clothes that be more for teenagers.. but that be same for a teenager wearing a frock that would see on a very young child.. I will always wear stylish clothing no matter what my age is. why should i or any woman have to look dull and frumpy just because of an age..

True. A woman must never feel old to wear fashionable clothes. Of course the fashion must be local and prevalent one.

Absolutely false. 50 is not old, and even if it was, who is to say that old people cannot stay up to date or stylish? If a woman is really into fashion, why would that stop just because she gets older?

FALSE!!!! There's a way of dressing up fashionably and age appropriate at the same time. And it doesnt really matter what's fashionable for others, what matters is that you're comfortable with what you're wearing...

NO! Nothing is sadder than an older woman who has given up, chopped off all her hair, and is wearing drab too baggy clothes that obscure her shape and she looks like a man. I see this all the time. Of course you should be a woman and wear stylish clothing. Just because you're older doesn't mean you're not a woman anymore. Keep your figure, experiment with pretty fashionable clothes and have fun.
