A writer is someone who can imagine things other people haven't thought of yet, gets a pen and paper and writes his idea, and that written piece must be of a literary category.

A writer is somebody who is vast in the use of words, phrases, idioms, part of speech, and of course language. However, the language could be any of the languages spoken around the world. The writer is a designer of the way words should stand, the meaning it should have, and the color it should have.Give a topic to a writer,he can produce the result in 10001 ways. The power is in the words. Times have changed, and considerably too.Nowadays, the writer is a professional who uses the pen, notebook, and the computer, whether notepad, palmtop, laptop,or desktop.

I think a writer is someone with good skills and some talent. It is easier to write in our own first language than to try writing in a different language. Imagination is required for writing fiction, but a good writing style is more important in most forms of writing. Great books and articles can be written about many things, history, biography, world events, true crime, philosophy, self help, travel or any subject which people want to know about. A few people can write good poetry and it is not something all writers can do well. It is most important for a writer to be understood and to communicate thoughts and ideas. A good writer can be very influential and can inspire other people.

First of all, a writer doesn't have to be good in English. They need to excel in their native tongue. If they want to write in English, then they would have to practice more. A writer can be anybody. However, it's not about pulling out all kinds of ideas. It may be about that, but you have to form the words together so they can be coherent.

I refuse your definition of a writer and substitute it for my own! I am a writer because I am a writer, end of story. I don't need a definition! *lol*
