Managing Head Aches, Here is How!

Almost always during my student days, my instructors keep on emphasis on how to manage pain in general. It has been proven from studies that pain should be managed as soon as it starts and not during its peak. And so, whenever I get troubled with stress and manifest head aches I usually do these managements to let it go away. Here are some ways:1. Identify what causes and triggers your head ache to know its origin and from there start the management. 2.Avoid taking non-prescribed pain killers more than 3x a week as these may bring about rebound head aches that are more fatal in nature. Rebound head aches are usually triggered after the pain medicine has worn off, causing the person to resort for another dose. 3. Always keep a medicine available, ss I have said treat the head ache when it is still starting. NSAIDs or Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs are the drug of choice but make sure to take one with a full stomach! 4. Take enough rest whenever possible. 5. Eat a well balanced and nutritious meal. 6. Exercise regularly to improve the quality of life. 7. If symptoms persist, consult a specialist as soon as you can. Look for a neurologist for an expert advise. Hope these tips help. Have a great day!
