it's not only you. i don't know about others, but in my opinion, i would think that most are similar too. we are all engrossed with our own family and lives, troubling over our own matters. i don't think many would stop to think about what others who are less fortunate are going through. sometimes, when i'm alone, these type of thoughts go through my head and i feel guilty in a way for being self centred. but it's natural i guess.

Well you are always the most important person in your life, no matter what anyone says. As long as being self centred doesn't hurt anyone, it should be alright..

I understand. I have not always been this way, but as I get older and wiser I have learned to worry about my own problems first. I do not think that I am cold and uncaring because of this. Infact, I am just the opposite! I get so emotional and wrapped up in things I see or hear. Maybe out of necessity I have learned to NOT GET INVOLVED. I have not had easy life. However, I try not to complain to others reguarding the hardships I have and I really think that others should do the same. I am not saying that I NEVER help or listen to other people's problems. I am only saying that it is best to take care of yourself and your family first. Some of us already have more than they are able to deal with doing that. God Bless.
