What do you do when you get burnout?

Okey, so you try to be superwoman, juggling work, housekeeping, home chores, trying to be a good wife and mother, taking care of the dog and the cat. And even participating in civic actions, trying to be a good citizen. And then comes the day that you can barely drag yourself out of bed, feeling like you don't care anymore, just wishing to hide out from everybody, just stay in bed. Not all the motivation techniques you know and have heard about will work. You're just too tired. What do you do then?

I take a bath, or usually I can feel it comming and give my husband warning that he is going to have a day where it is all on him to pick it up! I don't know how single parents do it! My hat is truly off to them!

Isn't it nice to have a partner who can pick it up when you just can't do it anymore? You're lucky your husband understands and is so supportive. Can you imagine what it must have been like in the middle ages when it was a woman's duty to serve her husband, and no questions asked! Imagine doing everything day in and day out and your husband is more like your lord than your partner. Thank you for coming by and happy mylotting!

Have a change of scenery. The first time this happened to me, I had a vacation then changed jobs. The second time around, I took up another activity. But those were in the extreme conditions. If at times, I'd feel as if I'm too tired or lethargic, I'd have some quiet time by myself, read books, stay in bed and just plain rest.

A vacation sounds great - I just wish I could afford it. Quiet time in bed and bed may just have to serve as substitutes. Maybe I could stay in bed and read about the places I wanna go to LOL. REST is what I really need. Happy mylotting and thank you for your response. Take care
