Should I be regret?

I broke up with my boyfriend days ago and now I feel hesitated, because he was so sweet to me. He was willing to do anything I want him to do. I am a freshman in university and he is a senoir one, so he is considerate, honest, intelligent and mature. I felt safe and warm with him. But actually I found that I did not like him so much. I stayed with him just because he could tolerate me, help me, encourage me and protect me. I'm just used to the feeling of staying with him. I told him what I thought and he was mad, at last, he said:"OK, I will leave you." I was sad and gloomy those days and I didn't know whether I had lost a good boy. But a few of my friends told me:"He is absolutely a good boy but if you really didn't like him, you shouldn't be regret. He is too mature for you and he is more suitable to be a husband than a boyfriend. You have never loved others and he is your first one, so we think you should find a boy that suits you because you are a happy, love-laughing and lovely girl. After all, this is your first love, you should look for a one that can really make you feel happy. Love in universities is the most unforgetful." So should I take my friends' advice? Should I feel regret?

Yo can feel regret and still be friends with him instead of dating him! It is not a problem if he is willing to be friends with you. After you date others, if you still love him or miss him, you never know, it may become a relationship again. It happens all the time.
