Have you tried anything fun with savoy cabbage? I've only started buying it recently and trying to add to our veggies, little one won't go near it as she thinks it's too green! Any fun recipes you've tried with it? The leave seem quite large, have you tried anything with these?

I use it just the same way that I use the green cabbage. I believe it has a fresher taste. I've shredded it, melted some butter, chopped some onion and garlic and sauteed it in a pan and mixed it with pasta adding extra butter, salt and pepper for a fast meal.

You could try shredding it and using it in a grilled cheese sandwich or a sub. :)

Hey marina, I'm not sure. Is this some new kind of cabbage? I love cabbage! I have 2 ways that I make it. I boil it. Cut it up. Throw it in a pan with some oil, little bit of sugar and tiny bit of salt. That's one of my favorites. Another is Hungarian stuffed cabbage. That's made with tomato sauce and sauerkraut. Make about 2 lbs of chopped meat, mix with rice, make them into balls. The roll the cabbage (after boiling) around the meat/rice mixture. Add tomato sauce, sauerkraut, little sugar, paprika, onion & garlic powder. Let cook about 2 hours. This recipe is only for those that like spicy food. I am Hungarian-hence the paprika!
