It seems to be a social trend: at my University they do have several group study rooms, but this aspect of studying doesn't appeal to me. I prefer to do my own work in my own time, on my own. Some people thrive on working in a group each day or week, but for me, the quietness and relaxation of being alone whilst working works best for me!

It doesn't help me most times. It can be fun to hang out with my friends, but thats really all it ends up being. I generally have to figure out the material and explain it to the group anyway. It would be a lot more efficient to just learn it on my own. The one thing that does help me is when my friends ask me how to do a problem or explain a concept over and over. That really helps me to grasp the concept as well as memorize. I guess its like some people say that teaching is the best way to learn. Most times we just really dont get much done though.

I have never been in a study group. Every time me and my friend try to get together to do homework or something together not allot gets done.
