Overseas conract worker, advantages and disadvantages?

what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of being an OFW? in your opinion what are the disadvantages and advantages of an OFW? Of course when one will work abroad, he will have sufficient income to support the family but he would be away from them and it is not easy to live away from loved ones. What is your idea about this situation?

Many of my classmates work abroad for higher pay,it's their main motive. well, for me, i choose to stay where i am even the payment doubles cause i think it's not worthwhile to compensate for the things i give up like being with my family, hanging out with friends. and when i feel like a long rest, i can ask for a leave or change my job. in a word, i decide who i am , don't have to worry about the rent, fees as long as i stay at home.

You have good point in here. Yes, family is more important than money but what if there is an opportunity that would come for you? would you still refuse?

The disadvantages of OFW is always been the feeling
of homesickness. Away from your love ones is very hard.
The adjustment and the cultural shock is another thing.
The advantage is the salary. You will earn higher in other
country, than your own country.
