Okay, here I am writing a nice discussion in my favourite topic about a very important thing. The discussion became fairly long, and when I was all done I pressed submit. Instead of getting the nice ad a tag-site I got this: "Unable to post content. please modify your text to only include letters, numbers, and standard punctuation". Well, all is well.. hmm.. what did I do wrong, well, IT IS A BIT HARD TO MODIFY ANYTHING SINCE THE TEXT DISAPPEARED!!! How can myLot have such a feature when the text disappears when one get this message? As you can see I also do not have 500 posts which mean I cannot copy and paste, so no chance of writing it somewhere else and copy it in when it is finished. Just has to be done at once in the discussion window. Also, I do not use ANY OTHER CONTENT then letters, numbers and standard puncutation. I never use "emoticons" or smileys, there was nothing but my letters in that discussion. What do myLot mean by other contents? They allow smileys and emoticons in other discussions, so even if I had had that it could not have been wrong, and I did not even have that.. What is this going on with myLot? All the time when I write discussions, either I get logged out or now this happened.. Don't they want me to write discussions? What do you think?

Hi Emiese, this hasn't happened to me but while responding to a discussion I've inadvertantly pressed something and the whole thing disappeard :-( did you e-mail myLot? You might get a response. Yesterday I saw a discussion that I wanted to respond to in reference to Welfare...I was at work so therefore could not respond at that very moment...when I went back to respond I could not find the author (Soooobored)...what I neglected to do was see under what interest it was in...oh my gosh, I must have spent 2 solid hours looking for this person...didn't find her :-( Anywho, I'm about to e-mail myLot to ask, why can't we find a discussion by author...it is annoying. Good luck and just keep posting. ~Stay cool, stay well and never, never stress~ ~G~

Thank you, I might try emailing them. I think I can help you with Soooobored. If you want to find a user you only have to use the link http://www.mylot.com/xxxx, where xxxx is the name of the user you want to find. When I put in http://www.mylot.com/soooobored I got to her profile. Just copy and paste this link in your browser in another window or tab and you should be right there seeing her discussions! Good luck, let me know if it doesn't work, and I might be able to help you with the link to the discussion, if you let me know more what it was about!

Oh my goodness, thank you ever so much...but, it only took me to my home page...the discussion is about welfare and how people abuse the system by having cars like lexus and she goes on about how there shouldn't be any welfare, etc. If you can help I'd appreciate it...maybe my personal e-mail will help... gwoman2007@comcast.net Bless you Emiese and thank you so much even if I don't find her I really do appreciate your help and I am requesting you as a friend if you'll have me. ~G~

Ok, it took me there, thank you. Guess what? Now I can't find the discussion...oh well I still appreciate your handywork :-) I'm going to start a new discussion on Welfare and its history and am going to try to enlighten myLotters on the why of welfare's existance and the real need of "some" people... Thank you, thank you, thank you. ~G~

I experienced this exactly like you a few days ago. I found out that we should type quick enough to avoid being logged out since this is the case. but no need to worry though, on top right you will see link "sign in - sign up" and it means that you are logged out automatically. just sign in again and your discussion will still be there.. Unlucky for me though, I had uploaded picture along with my discussion but the picture was gone and only the discussion survived. Once I also mistyped some letters in the title of discussion and there's no way they have a help tool or something to fix it. I think they really should consider something like a fix tool here..

That's okay! See my response above! You should try to logout, tick the box "remember me" and logon again, to see if it works!

Firstly, you are lucky! Since you do have more than 500 rating you can copy and paste, I cannot. Otherwise I would copy the text just before I submitted and then if it doesn't worked it would just be to log in and paste it again (use the short keys, ctrl+C to copy and ctrl+V to paste, that makes it faster). Either way, I too kept getting logged out, but it is a bit better now. Make sure you always tick the box "remember me" before you log in. When I do that I seem to stay logged on a lot longer and, sometimes all the time without any problems at all! Good luck and thanks for your response!
