I'm so sad to hear this. I have seen him lecture and be interviewed several times on the computer and on tv, and I recently read "The Last Lecture" book. He was such an amazing man. He had a fantastic attitude and outlook on life. When many others (probably most others) would have just gotten sad and depressed over a cancer diagnosis, he became really determined to leave behind a good message for his children, who are small enough to probably not remember a whole lot about him when they get older. He was only 47 years old, and had married a bit older in life, so his kids are very young. He was just an inspiring man and I am so sad for his family. I'm sad for myself and I never even met him. Who else has seen the lecture or read his book? What are your thoughts? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randy_Pausch

I am real sorry to hear of his passing. I read an article on him in Parade a few months back and was inspired by his upbeat attitude despite of his prognosis. He will definitely be missed.

I just learned about Randy's unfortunate passing. I listened to his lecture with tears in my eyes. He was so motivated and so unreal. For a person who knew he was dying but was able to give such an awsome speech was so dramatic. I also have his book but admit I haven't read it yet but now I plan to very soon. I feel so sad for his wife and his children. Randy did so much to leave behind a legacy for his children. He was a great man and will be missed! Char

I had his book around for a while before I did anything with it, but when I finally read it, I buzzed through it very quickly. It's a very enjoyable read. Thanks for responding!

I saw that during GMA when Diane Sawyer reported the sad news. I have been so interested in his philosophy. I wish everyone would read and learn from him.

I'm sorry I haven't seen his lecture or read his book, but i've read about him and I distinctly remember my mom telling me about him and why he wrote his book. It's sad to hear that he has passed on. but i'm happy for his kids because they had a great dad who really loved them and made sure that though he can no longer be with them, they won't miss out on what he wants them to know and learn.
