Who pays when your girlfriend/boyfriend and you go shopping?

I heard that the phenomenon that boys often pays when he and his girlfriend go shopping has become a widely-known embarrassment.Even worse,boyfriends just follow their girlfriends will be in charge of carrying things besides providing payment.But i am wondering whether it is a common problem or it it just a headache to just a small number of people. thanks for sharing

the boy should not pay all the time. I am married now but when my husband and I were dating we would share the expenses when we went shopping. It's only fair.

i also agree that this should be the "modern" way of paying for things between boyfriend and girlfriend,hehe~~~ but this idea should be agreed on by the two before it can be carried out~~
