i know that a lot of people say that they don't have to have money to be happy but when you think about it a lot of people do have to have money to be happy...like money to go out on or to do something else with or to just go shopping with, i know that theres a lot of things that you have to have money to do but honestly i can be happy with out money and just staying at home and doing something around the house and i know that sometimes its nice to have money but i don't have to have it all of the time, so what about all of you do you have to have money to be happy or can you just be happy by staying around the house? thanks for taking the time to read my discussion and i hope that you all have a great night!

I am a happy camper without money...I pay my bills...and if I don't have much left over that is okay...I'd rather stay home and be with my husband, kids, and grandkids...

While happiness can be found without money, money DOES HELP... or more accurately, the LACK of money does not increase happiness. Same with love and money. Both poor and rich people can find happiness, AND both can be UNhappy. But poor people cannot find money, but rich people CAN find "poverty." So the equation is not balanced. Poor = Happy Rich = Happy Poor = UNhappy Rich = UNhappy Poor = Poor Rich = Poor Poor cannot equal Rich Rich = Rich See? It's not balanced. Therefore, money IS a factor. Statistically, people with money are healthier, because they can afford better food, better shelter, and better medical care. They are also better educated, and thusly can earn more money in their lifetimes, too, to continue the "wealth." Poor people, on the whole, do not have these "advantages," and neither can they GAIN those advantages WITHOUT money to begin with... ergo they remain poor. So, while a poor person CAN be happy, the rich person has a much better chance at being happy than the poor person.

Happiness, is just a state of mind for me. can we still be happy if we cannot afford our requirements? leave alone the luxurious things. it is just the vicious cycle. so money is the root of all the happiness. If you have money you will be happy, but loads and loads of it only make us greedy to acquire more. for me using money for a noble cause like charity gives immense pleasure. So I want money to make others happy inturn to be happy myself.
