I do have alot of trouble doing this. I backslide, stray, turn to other gods, you name it I've probably done it. It's normally due to irrational thoughts. I do feel emotions very intensely for some reason, and that normally throws me completely out of whack. But at the end of everything, when I'm rational again, I go back and I find that God's been there all the while. It's funny really. Slowly though, I'm starting to get better at keeping the faith. REALLY slow. And I guess it's better than no improvement, right? Still, God might have all the time in the world to wait but I don't. Haha.

we turn to God for help when our foundations are shaking only to realize that God is shaking them.

Well, I can keep up my faith because God won't leave me. If everything falls apart just keep this in mind:Job. He is a hero of faith. Even though Satan ruined his life and even reached that point where he wanted to give up on God, still, he didn't. And every human, with respect to their chosen faith, should also do that. Sometimes it seems as doing good can do harm, but it's quite the opposite. You do good, you do no harm over yourself, well other people may, but not you. When I have big problems, I don't even recall Job, it's just that I can feel God's grace. And even though sometimes I feel so far from Him because I'm not following Him, still I can feel His grace near me. It's a comforting feeling, knowing that whatever you face, even if you think you're alone, God is always there. And He never lets me down.
