When would you consult a doctor about a headache?

How severe would your headache have to be before you decided to go to the doctor?
also what would cause hard lumps or knots to be on someone's scalp, not related to any type of injury. would this be a concern to you if you found a really hard lump on your scalp and if so what would you do about it? It has no colour to it, and is not a pimple just a hard swollen knot.
Also how do you know when that your headache is bad enough to have to go to the hospital or at least to a doctor?

I can't really remember me visiting the Doctor because of just headache,i always find it had for me to ask for an appointment for common pains or aches,the body adjusts itself.@AnnaB7 (756)

yes but sometimes a headache can be serious such as in the case of a stroke. or something like that,
Maybe if you have nothing more than a headache it is okay to wait, but sometimes when you have a really bad headache you start thinking maybe it is something serious such as a brain tumor or something like that. But maybe it is just a bad headache that will go away.
I really dislike going to the doctors office so much it cost way to much.

They don't tell people things like that,its the pain that pushes you to call your doctor or go to the Hospital.
About the hard lump on the scalp,is it big or just small. I want to know if its infection after shave,whatever the case may be the person should not open this or burst it himself.

The bump on the scalp is about two maybe three inches long, it's not from shaving, because it is not in a place where anyone would normally shave.
Probably just someone bumped their head and forgot they did it. I don't know.
