when someone stares at you do you stare back?

Well I learned from my younger days... That staring is sometimes I good thing, sometimes it means one likes another (MATEING SEASON :O) I only stare at another person if I think it is a stare down or I start thinking about them.

yes sometimes i do stare back and just smile but if she/he keeps staring i just ignore it.

I hate it when people stare. When I see someone staring at me, I glance at them for a quick second and then I look away. That gives them the signal that I know they are looking at me. To all the people who stare: if you are staring at someone, please say something, anything or just put your eyeballs somewhere else.

I stare sometimes but i know its rude to do it so when i notice im doing it i stop. It happens so i wouldnt worry to much about it.

I don't usually stare back, but sometimes I ask myself if I know this person? Sometimes you end up staring to someone that you have seen before. But I guess it is not very polite.

For me, it depends on the situation. If someone is just staring blankly at me, I will kind of look and then look away, I'll do this until that person realizes that I know that they are staring and that they should stop. Sometimes people dont even realize that they are staring at others because their mind is on something different. But if someone is staring at me like they have a problem then I dont have an issue staring back. Maybe they will realize and take a mental picture or something instead of continuously staring.
