What makes you wanna minus others' reputation?

lol, i noticed that my reputation often go up and down, and sometimes down and up lol, so that's why i want to know do you care too much about your reputation? have you given a minus to others' reputation? what makes you wanna minus others' reputation, just because they don't respond to your posts or have some other reasons? why people who have posted more than 10 thousand posts are graded 4 instead of 10?

Why would some older members be against the rating system? I have heard this mentioned before but I never quite understood what it was all about.
I would rate someone negatively if they are outright rude, if they use racial or religious slurs, that type of thing.

Some older members are asking everyone to minus them simply because they disagree with the rating system and wish to lose their stars altogether. That would explain the 4 star you saw.
Otherwise, the negative should be used carefully. It's not meant to be used just because you have a grudge or don't like what someone is saying. It's for rating posts that do not positively contribute or are in violation in some way.
