Routes for walking

I'm trying to be good and get out walking but it's difficult to know where to go. I have been using this website to plan routes as it gives length and time it takes to walk somewhere. Unfortunately it only has a handfull of UK cities on it but it will be expanded. http://www.walkit.com/edinburgh/ How do you plan your walks?

That's pretty neat. I live on a pretty rural road and it's exactly a half mile to the main road, so I usually just walk there and back to get a mile in. I don't do it as often as I need to, though, but I try to get on my recumbent bike most every day.

It is a really useful site and handy to find out how long it would take you to walk somewhere. That's so neat that it's exactly a half mile as it must be so easy to keep track of how many miles you are doing. Motivating myself is the biggest problem too I also like to go different routes everywhere, I haven't got lost yet.
