There are some people who believe so much in studing till they die, they don't want to stop studying. After one degree they go for another, and nothing much to show for this. I don't believe that one should have every degree of this world and never plan for the future. Some at 60 years, for example and if their Children ask them for something they will say they are students, what do you think?

Actually I think there must be a misunderstand here. People has different target of achievement in theirlife, and of course different life satisfaction. Some seeks for power, some seeks popularity. People who keeps studying to get degrees have their satisfaction in knowledge. They are people that really have the needs of education. They like it not because they need it. They go to school because it will fulfill what missing in their life. I've never heard such thing as studies never end, but I heard 'learning never end' instead. Learning never end means that in life you always going to learn something. Not from school. You learn to handle your anger, you learn to appreciate people, you learn neew views etc. It is not what you think I hope this will help you to understand :)

I don't agree with you, they just don't want to be responsible, that's all. When that one finishes, they take on another one ,repeatedly they go on like that. Thanks.

According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, people will try to achieve higher level of needs after he/she able to complete the lower needs. I agree about your thoughts about financial needs. Financial needs is the lowest on the hierarchy, before someone's trying to achieve the other needs, in this case is studying (which included in Self Actualization needs, which is the highest in the hierarchy) he/she should be able to complete all four levels of needs first. While that has been completed, I believe financial needs would be no longer problems for those people.

i think some people just really like to be in school. some enjoy it and some like the environment compared to being anywhere else. and some feel better about themselves with all the degrees that they have.

I think that everyone sould study as much as theya re able to do so, so that they can live a more fulfilling and happy life,. it is good to study it helps to keep the brain diseases of old age away I think.

Hello, alpha7! Yes, they say that studies never end. I guess they are right. I mean, not studying in school, but studying life. Life is always teaching you new things. You are constantly learning and evolving, that's the rule that should be followed by all humans. I guess that what they mean when they say that studies never end is this: you will be always learning new things from life. Now, if some people wish to really follow what the sentence says, strictly, then I guess they will at least keep on learning, lol. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I respect your opinion on that. That is your preference and your decision. As for those who continue to study, I don't see anything wrong with that. It is unfair for you to judge them that way that they never have plans for the future. They must have a good reason why they're still studying especially if they reached that age, 60 as per your example, to keep themselves motivated to study that long. I'd just let them be. It's what they want and if they're not stepping on my space (which is very very unlikely) I'd even support them. We're all different in most ways. We each have our own little ways to enjoy our lives. Studying is one of theirs.

My bad on that one. Yeah, you have a point in making it as an excuse being a student. There may really be some who do that to, well not necessarily escape, but set aside other responsibilities. Take care.
