You started it too early but I think if I am a stay home mom, I would also cook the dinner early so that we could eat before 6:00 Pm. That would be very good because we can fully digest the food before going to bed. Unfortunately, I'm a working housewife so when I arrive home at 7:30 or 8:00 that's the only time I will cook the dish. The rice however is already cooked because my son takes care of that.

It depends on my mood, the various schedules of the family and hwo I'm feeling physically (I have various skeletal issues)...oh and of course what I'm making that day....some times I'll make a roast or stew or soup etc and it has to be started early in the morning and simmer all day...sometimes I'm just makign something simple and I can start it 1/2 hr to an hour before we're goin to eat...Sometimes I dont cook at all LOL

I usually have dinner after 8pm so start cooking at 7pm. If it is just pasta, I start at 7:45 and eat it piping hot straight off the pan.

I usually start cooking around 6:30pm and try to have it ready about 7 or 7:30, it depends on what I'm cooking some things take a little longer to cook, if so, then I'll start earlier. Tonight I will be making spaghetti, and it only takes me 30 mins. to get it done, not long at all.

I think the food should not be cooked too early. I think you should cook the food an hour before your dinner time. The best thing is to prepare the food fresh but since it is not possible all the time to cook fresh you can cook it almost an hour before.

cooking early doesn't mean the food that i have cooked is not fresh already..foods usually last for 1 1/2 day before it becomes spoiled so what is your basis that it will not be healthy anymore? we do not have a specific dinner time most of us in the family is always on the go so it will be very impossible to prepare a dinner an hour before we eat.

i usually cook dinner the day before because i always go home quite late every night after work... i reach home about 7.15 to 7.30 pm and by that time i usually already feel very hungry... so i don't have the enery to cook dinner... i eat the leftover from the day before for dinner and after that i cook lunch and dinner for the next day... it will be about 8 pm by that time and i will finish at around 9 pm maximum... take care and have a nice day...

If it's something like a stew that needs to cook for quite a while, I'll start it at 2. If it's something like pasta that's pretty quick, I'll start it around 4.

Vry often if im working in the morning and doing my household chores then I will put the evening meal on to cook,I know it only the morning but if the meal is a casserole or something that needs a long time to cook, then its wonderful as it just cooks away to itself, and then when the evening comes there is very little to do,just maybe boil a few potatoes.

We usually cook our dinner at around 6 because we eat usually at 7. We try to have a delicious dinner as much as possible that's why we start to cook early so that a lot of things could be prepared and cooked deliciously. Also we cook early because most of us would want to finish everything even washing the dishes before primetime shows start on tv.

I have a maid to cook food.I leave the kitchen open when i go for work. She cooks food at whatever time that suits her. But when i used to cook, i used to prepare lunch and dinner together so that when my husband comes home, i can spend time with him and am not busy in the kitchen.....Have a nice day.

dEPENDING ON THE DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES. dEPENDS ON WHEN SUPPER IS STARTED. ALSO IT DEPENDS ON WHAT I WILL BE COOKING THAT DAY... MOST OF THE TIME SUPPER IS ON BY 5PM AND WE ARE EATING BY 7PM ON A NORMAL DAY. ON A RUSHED DAY WE WILL HAVE SUPPER NO LATER THAN 8PM.
