My cat had 6 kittens last night after supper. I thought there was only five but she had the sixth one after I went to bed. They are beautiful. My cat is black so they are all black and grey. They are tiger striped. It was a learning experience for my daughter. She kept telling me, mama kitty is pooping out kittens. The little tike would not leave the cats side. I am so happy they are here. I was getting so worryied because she was way overdue. I tried to take a picture of tthe cute buggers this morning and I can not get the pictures to download on the pc. Now can you all help me think of some creative names for the little ones? I bet you are think its only kittens but this is the first time we have had kittens at our house. So lets play name that kitten. What are some good names.

WOW Congratulations! I mean, convey my congratulations to your cat. Do you intend to keep all the six? They tend to get very playful. I have only two and they turn the house upside down. It is fun though. I wouldn't mind have seven cats myself, but my Mom won't hear of it. LOL... I wish you loads of luck with those kittens. I wish I could think of names, but I am really bad at that. I kept changing my own cats' names till they were almost half grown. If something strikes, I will comment again. Cheers and happy mylotting

LOL.. if they all look alike, not much use naming them, unless you attach a name tag on them. Ok, here are some names that entered my head: Raja, Rani, Chinnu, Chikki, Pookie, Kitty, Puttu, Rinnu -- all Indian names, I know... LOL hope you like them. tee hee

No I can not keep all six. I wish but the vet bill would be outrageous. I am getting my mama cat fixed now. She got pregnant because my little one let her out on accident. We are only keep one. I have two given away already. Three more to go.They all look so much a like I can't tell them apart. My little girl wants to name them all for fun.

Those are cute names! How long before you can pick up and hold the little buggers? I do not want mama to get mad or hurt them!

Cograts on the new baby kittens. My daughters cat had a litter of 7 kittens, and I took one kitten as I already have a cat and a bird. I named the kitten Lucy. There are so many cute kittens names. I can think of a few like Jade, misty, cubby, Mickey, Rosy. I hope you enjoy the new kittens as much as I'm enjoying Lucy.

My cat of 21 years recently passed. I missed her terribly so I headed to the local Humane Society to save a stray. When I got there, I found 2 that I just loved (for different reasons). I couldn't make up my mind & the girl there said I tell you what...you can have the second one for only $10. Needless to say I came home with 2. They are both black. One was a very loving, flirty lil baby so I named him Romeo. The second I had a harder time naming. I was talking to a girlfriend on the phone & she said another friend's name. I wasn't sure I understood her so I repeated the name & my second lil baby answered to it. I thought it a fluke until the next morning. I called the name "Kip" & he came running to me. So now I have Romeo & Kip. Now back to your question. I never name one of my pets until I learn their personality....but I've never had 6 to name. Since they are striped, how about: Tigger (from Winnie the Poo) Midnight (for the darkest) Lil Bit (for the tiniest) OK I'm fresh outta names. Atleast I got to 3.

Actually I had one named Lil Bit. I couldn't think of a name for him & he was sooooo tiny. It took me sooo long to come up with a name he thought Lil Bit was it & was all he would answer to.

Well... I've start serial naming the kittens that come in my house as a group. I know one rescue lady that gives a litter names that all start with the same letter like "A" or "R." By serial, I mean, in the same family. For example, the roomie thought that one of Sophie's kittens looked kind of like a muppet on Farscape from behind, so we named him Rygel. Since it sounds the same as the star "Rigel" we named his sibs all celestial names - Sirius, Orion and Andremedea. Those sibs and Sophie all found new homes, but we kept Rygel because he's so awesome. Another example was the litter of 2 dilute orange brothers and a tortie point Siamese sister. I named the sister after a coworker from China and we named the brothers after the game that opened Red China to the U.S., Ping and Pong. On the 3rd hand, the litter of bottle babies I was given last fall we just gave them "labels" to identify them. There had been 5 kittens to start with, one of the black ones had been hit by the weed "wacker" and so we called him/her Soprano and called his/her sibling Aria because we thought he was female at first, we changed it to Ari after we discovered the mistake. But the others were a black and white one with a cute little blaze on his forehead - we called him Blaze. There was a cute fluffy brown tabby with little socks we called Sox and a solid brown tabby we labeled Skippy. They've all gone to new homes, and new names, but they were just "tags" so we could keep track as we feed and cleaned them. Then again, when I got a kitten from San Antonio, the only name for him/her was Tony/Toni. Turned out to be a he, still, it was the only name. I, for one, prefer to take a little time, discover their little personalities and name them, but you can do as you please. We were handed 2 kittens in May, one was called Flower but the other didn't have a name. I said, without any fore thought, "Blossom." I just don't have time to agonize over names for kittens anymore. I just pick one and stay in the "area." Tho, I'm actually hoping NOBODY gives me anymore cats for a LONG time.

Sounds like cute kittens I have had cats named Jazzy, Frisky, Shawdow, Tazzy, Red, Cyanne, and Rowdy. I know some other people with cats named Socks, Mouse, Skeeter those are the ones I can think of. If you go to a humane soceity page they animals are named and you can get some cute names off of the site.

(except a cat) but im getting off subject here. lol sorry about that i do it all the time. so kitten names.... hmm heres a couple 1.spite 2.brownie 3.tigger (pronounced like tigger's name off of winnie the pooh.) thats all i can think of right now sorry. i hope i have helped alittle!! and good luck with the kittens!

Wow!!! Congrats to you and your family!! Just for a suggestion, if you DO plan to give away any kittens, that size of a litter is PERFECT, it practically makes all the kittens super cuddley, I say this from experience, because my little kitten, Loki, (after the Norse mythology trickster god) is all for cuddles, he came from a litter of seven as well. Hrm, now other names.... Zeus Hera Artemis Baldur as you can tell I love mythology lol And I agree that you should name cats after seeing their personality, they seem to respond better, a good example, my friends' cat is named "Spaz" lol

Awww how sweet! I love kittens and I really want to get one for my kids to grow up with. My kids are 4 & 7 so it's perfect timing. However, I have a pain in the butt cat that has to reach the end of his life first. He's 16 and I keep thinking he's getting so old but he is still pretty spry for an old man! lol But, I can't let him in the house any more because he pees on stuff and he's gotten to where I can rarely even touch him any more. I want a fun, indoor, playful kitten! One you can actually touch and know why you spend money to feed it!! lol Instead I have to feed my cat outside where I also end up feeding 3 strays about about 4 big toads and occasionally other critters.
