Why do we get our oil from other Countries?

you are right that there other countries that can produce oil...but one question is teh quality of oil that our country produce (im an in the philippines) the bet of oil are in the middle east and that is the reality, what other country produce like US and philippines are substandards oils..the minerals that we have here are not as good as compared to middle east.. the next best thing is to maximize the use our substandrad oil in our own country to at least lessen the importation of the oil in our countries...or find a better alternative to be use...like here in the philippines there is a campaign for the use of BIO-diesel..i hope this will do good coz the price of gas is taking people to poverty...

It all boils down to money. The Government in the USA is Greedy and so are the other govts. of other countries. We really have enough natural resources all over the world to survive from and money wouldn't be concerned ever if the govt. allowed our technology to help the people and if all people just shared,got along and helped one another instead of all the governments constantly thinking about wanting and having it all by fighting each other,we wouldn't have things like war and poverty and such. In reality,those in poverty who starve or live on the streets,would be able to live life as those who aren't in poverty. Where do you think all the interest and principal really go to when you get a loan,the money loaned was created out of nothing and the money payed back to the banks with interest and such just keep building the govts. wealth up highter,cause the money didn't exist in the first place. Every penny we make is owed to someone by someone,is it not? It all goes to the govt. so they can have what they want to stay in control. This is why inflation never stays the same. Think about this,it makes sense. Why do you think they say money is the root of all evil,it doesn't even have to exist,the people who run the show,which are the govts., have the people so minipulated and have for a long time robbed us USA citizens blind of the real freedom we all should have by keeping control of the monetary system when it shouldn't have been created in the first place,it wasn't even needed. Just like war,why do govts. insist on having it instead of helping starving and homeless people? They simply must be doing this to feed their hunger for money so they can have the best of everything instead of sharing it with the people on the low end of the stick. Selfish Bastards is how I look at them. I refuse to ever vote! You think those who run for president can really change the economy,no,only the people under them can. There are people out here that are smarter than they are and would treat our people better and that's why they allow certain people to run for president,they were already chosen from the top dogs at the top of the money chain. Anyway,these are just my beliefs,you can believe what you may,I prefer not to allow them to minipulate me in this manner. Everything was planned once the monetary system was put into work and now it's out of control because it's been going on for so long people don't realize it. I love my Country,the USA,but I do not respect our Government,they are doing no better than they say the other countries are doing and it all boils down to competition,money and them keeping control of the people using money. Pure B.S. if you ask me,but it makes sense to me. We,the people,need to stand up for ourselves and quit supporting the US govt. so they have no choice but to do the right thing. They should use our energy sources we have such abundance of such as wind energy,tidal wave energy,solar energy etc,instead they would rather pollute the atmosphere and destroy it with gas,oil etc. We are able to go Green but the govt. chooses not to obviously,so they can feed their selfish needs and wants instead of sharing with others. Like said- IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO MONEY,IT IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL IN THIS WORLD.
