How does it make you feel when people act dummer than they really are?

Sometimes I will come across people that seem really dimwitted when they are around certain people and other times they are so intelligent. I just don't understand the point in making yourself look dumb for attention... Do you know anyone that acts this way? How do you feel about these kinds of people?

People who dumb down make me nuts. Be who you are, regardless. My daughter had a friend who used to say, Stupidity should be punishable. Acting dumb when you are not is kind of stupid.

Well it would certainly make me think that when they appear more intelligent, they really aren't that intelligent. In other words it is stupid to act stupid. There is difference in acting stupid to try to blend in and in not showing off. I think people should be themselves.
