How to clean a Jeep fuel tank

My 1993 Jeep Cherokee kept stalling out, so I removed the fuel pump/sending unit, and left the screen and sending unit float behind, so had to remove the gas tank - The inside of the gas tank doesn't look too bad as far as I can see, with alittle bit of tiny debri in the reservoir area - My question is, should I have the tank cleaned or clean the tank myself, or just reinstall the pump and let it go like it is????

It is probably highly unlikely that your Jeep continues to stall out due to the inside of your gas tank. If it continues to be a problem, I would suggest taking it to the dealer for further troubleshooting.

I agree with the first post, it's unlikely that your Jeep is stalling because of a problem with your gas tank. Chance are, it's somewhere up in the fuel line or could be your fuel pump. Cleaning a tank can be dangerous and should be done by a professional (if you aren't one), so if you really want it clean, I would send it in to someone. But, generally, unless there is a lot of debris in the tank or it's leaking, there's no reason to really clean it out.
