avoiding the wave

Do you have a neighbor that won't wave or talk to you and you don't know why? I can't figure it out and too shy to ask. If you are a non-waver, why do you do that? I try to be a good neighbor we take care of our yard and are quiet. How hard is it to give a wave or a hello?

Its really hard when you have such neighbors. We live in apartments and there are a few people who would like to give no response to even a simple hello or a wave. I feel really sad and disturbed when such a thing happens. I think they are too busy to give any answer. I always feel that one should take care and be good to everyone. I always say hello to my neighbors and am the first one to wish the elders.

Sounds like you have great manners. You can really make someones day by saying hello, especially your elders! how nice of you.

Funny you should write about this because last winter I tried to say hello to the lady across the street and received no response from her. She is newer in the neighborhood though has been here a little while, maybe a year or so I just never see her. Anyway we were both shoveling the snow and she had to had heard me yet she did not respond only looked the other way. I will try again next time I see her to wave or to say hello and hopefully she will respond. I don't want to gossip, just be friendly.
