I've been both and, frankly, I prefer to be an employee (in a good company). I owned my own business from 1985 until 1992. What a pain. I like a defined position with a good company so that I'm not the one that everybody come to and gripes.

Walker! If you are a fair and honest business owner, no one will gripe to you. I need to be the one in control. Maybe if you and I owned the company as equal partners, things would work. I'm better at handling people's complains.....or I could own the business and you could be my employee. hehehe I love you. Love Your Favouite Wife

That will happen the minute my husband and I get our publishig company of the ground. We would like to start a small publishing company, and share in it equally.

Now that will work. It's only when you have outsiders that it becomes almost overwhelming. I'll pay remote readers/editors, but I don't have to put up with them 40 hours a week.

There is always the poissibility of me starting my own business somewhere down the line. The one thing that will surely help me would be my experiences as an employee. I would most certainly keep the welfare and relationship with my employees as paramount.

Yes! because that is one of my dreams and goal, to put up my own business and my handle it as like real boss. I don't consider my job as a long term career. I think that should be everyone goal -to stop living paycheck to paycheck, they must used it to save later on put up your own business. Thanks and happy mylotting!
