Hey guys. Today I got a mail in which they say I have won great money on Yahoo UK National Lottery Promo. Now they are demanding Rs. 30,000 for courier expenses from me to mail the lottery ticket to me. Do you think that i should proceed with the deal? Kindly tell me as I am overwhelmed with this.

Trust me, its a big time scam. This is the infamous envelope scam. Please try to think back if you had even entered this lottery. They'll take your money, and run away. There have been other types of this scam, where they send you a fake cheque asking you to send back a 30% of the amount you cashin. Then the bank finds your cheque was fake and demand the money back in full, and you're stuck. Never fall for these.

forgot to add, yahoo never conducts a lottery without informing you about it when entered. You can send a mail to the yahoo admins and find out if its true (use contact us).

I'm hoping you surely aren't this gullible? Its a scam. Happens all the time. If you wish to give your money away then go for it. But you won't get a thing back from it. I had a similiar one just a few weeks back. I reported it (since it is mail fraud).
