What should you do for sunburn?

Well the kids are back from camp and one of them has a very bad sunburb on the face. So what are your best remendies for sunburn on the face. Somehow he has sunburn on his face and his hands, his face looks really really red. s Anyway what are your best home treatments for sunburn? specifically for burns around the face.

This may sound awful, but just plain old vinegar is good for sunburns. Just pour some on a cotton ball or on a cloth and dab on the burn. You could also put it in a spray bottle and spray it on. Your child may say that it smells. It does smell, but the smell does not last long. It works is all that matters! Good luck!

I have heard of the vinegar remedy, but is it safe for around the face?

I don't know why it wouldn't be. There are no chemicals in it and think about it - you eat things that have vinegar in them. That is just my opinion, I can't say scientifically though. Best wishes.

when i was still a kid, i often get burned under the heat of the sun.. what my mom usually does is that she would always put some cooling gel on the red part.. and at night before going to bed, she would always slice up some tomatoes from the fridge and rub them on my skin.. the tomatoes have to be cold to soothe the hot feeling and to lessen the pain and it worked for me.. i hope i was able to help..
