Few ways... #1 Don't give him anything from the table ever. He will throw an absolute fit but dogs are like children. If they throw a fit and get what they want they learn that it works. If it works for them why wouldn't they do it?? If you give in to them even once and then decide not to give in they try what had worked for them before and it will get worse before it gets better. Everyone in the house must be consistant in not feeding from the table for this to work. #2 Teach him a down stay or a place stay. Give him a place to be while you eat. This takes some time accomplish. #3 Put him in another area. Hope this helps.
