Getting Inspired With Nothing-ness

I have written a blog post at http://mynameisfernandyim.blogspot.com entitled Weird And Nothing. I had received beautiful responses. They said that the Lord hides everything in nothing, like a tree in a seed, ect. It is really nice reading their messages. Now, do you agree with that as well? That there are hidden great things in nothingness?

Hi... I cannot believe how hard it was for me to get up the courage to respond. I am not sure why I had the initial instinct to "keep quiet" and keep my opinions or feelings to myself...however it was there. So...naturally I have to "press" myself on - to answer anyway. I will be honest - I do not have any quotes from the Bible...I do not have a strong understanding and knowledge about the Bible. Honestly, I "feel" my way through life with God. With that in mind, I feel that God has not hidden anything from us...we tend to - just not see. I believe you are right when you said it does depend on how we look at things. I have always felt that God speaks to us all (believers or not). We have the capability to hear...however, we tend to CHOOSE not to. I think AND feel that we must become vulnerable...and not only look with our eyes, hear with our ears, smell with our noses, or feel with our skin - WE MUST LEARN TO SEE, HEAR, (even smell), AND FEEL WITH OUR HEARTS and SOULS. Don't get me wrong...I certainly have not reached that state of self-actualization...but I have had moments where I could hear God - I could see His amazing gifts and creation - and could sense the "right-ness" of my personal beliefs and the direction I was taking. It is quite a journey! I do not know if this really makes sense...but it was nice to challenge myself to write anyway! I wish you luck in all your discussions and self-discoveries!

Thank YOU for all your kind words and encouragement. I appreciate you taking the time to respond and in such an eloquent way too. I am not very good at accepting compliments such as yours...however, I do thank you! God has given you quite a voice! You too are special - with amazing gifts. You are honoring God when using those! So...I also...would like to encourage YOU to keep writing AND coming up with other great discussions like this! I look forward to them! :-)

Hi there trulydreaming! Before anything else, let me thank you first for the beautiful and very sincere response to my discussion. I believe you have a special gift in writing or/and speaking your mind. I think it is just that you are only starting to realize this gift. To tell you honestly, I was deeply touched by your response. You are so sincere, so honest! After reading your response, I thought you had received already your 'calling'. There is a special call from Him for you and you are feeling it, it had already reached into your soul that you couldn't deny it anymore. That must be why you were saying, "...but I have had moments where I could hear God." He is actually telling you something. It is a special thing between you and Him. Imagine how special you are to Him? I believe God is seeing a wonderful person in you. You must be very special. Thank you for wishing me good luck. I wish the very same thing for you. Keep writing!

This reminds me of an old saying from my childhood. "God does not answer prayers with fires from heaven but rather from the silence of the wind rusteling through the trees." God no longer has to Prove himself to us as that was the job of the Savior, so now he remains hidden prepairing a place for us. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!

Well, looking at your own example. A tree is not everything, and a seed is not nothing. You oughta do a bit of gardening to find out that not all seeds sprout. And of all seeds that sprout, not all grow into trees. It is really a back-breaking job to get a few decent plants. :) In the natural world, everything happens as per natural laws. I don't think God has hidden anything anywhere. It is all open. Cheers and happy mylotting
